Our First Christmas: Reflecting on a Magical Winter at Aurora Skies

This past Christmas season was truly a magical time at Aurora Skies Resorts. As first-time cabin rental owners, we were overwhelmed by the warmth and joy that filled our little corner of Shell Lake.

Seeing families gather in our cabins creating cherished Christmas memories  was an incredibly rewarding experience. We had the pleasure of inviting one guest, who was checking in on Christmas Day, over for Christmas dinner. It was great getting to know her and spreading Christmas joy to others. Our cabins are perfect for creating a warm Christmas ambience, with wreaths hanging on the doors, and the fireplace channel on the TV, many guests said they felt comfortable and relaxed, and commented on the cleanliness of the cabins as well!

Shell Lake truly transformed into a winter wonderland during the holidays. The main street was adorned with festive lights and charming decorations. The town square featured a Christmas tree, and handmade decorations that were sure to delight the children living and visiting town. Throughout the Christmas season, you could hear children and the children at heart, skating and playing the great Canadian sport of hockey on the outdoor rink. Nothing says small town like a game of shinny on the ODR on Christmas Day!
